Spring Workshop LogoIn the Spring Workshop our desire is to cover topics of interest pertaining to the spring and summer planting and growing seasons.

Our Spring Gardening Workshop is usually held the first or second Saturday of March each year. We try to use a location near Branson, in Taney county for this annual event.

Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 at Faith Lutheran Church in Branson, MO

$25 - Advanced Registration Required

The Master Gardeners of the Ozarks 2019 Spring Garden Workshop will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at the Faith Lutheran Church, 221 Malone St, Branson, MO 65616.

Registration with shopping and continental breakfast opens at 8:00 AM
Sessions 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Topics of discussion will be:

  • Xeriscape Gardening
    T. Woody Wells - Master Naturalist, Arborist and Landscaper
  • 2019 Gardening Weather Forecast & Global Warming Effect on Gardening
    Ron Hearst - KY3 Chief Meteorologist
  • Bird Friendly Backyard 
    Alan Gregory - Biologist, former Botany Professor and Avid Birder
  • How We Garden on a Rock Pile, Raised Beds for Both Veggies & Ornamentals
    Oscar Cross - Owner Hilltop Farm

Advance Registration is required for this event and is $25, which includes continental breakfast items opening at 8:00 and a catered lunch at noon.

Vendors will be on site offering plants and horticulture related merchandise. Please plan to come early so you will have time to browse, shop, have breakfast and visit.

You may register online and pay by credit card or you may register by mail and send a check to Stone County Extension Center, PO Box 345, Galena MO 65656. Mail-in registration deadline is Monday, February 25th.  Online registration deadline is Wednesday, Feb 27th.

In an effort to keep the price of this event affordable, the committee will be emailing speaker handouts to the registrants the week of the event.  Please check your email and print the handouts, if you choose, to have them available for note taking.
