The Shell Knob Senior Center (officially Central Crossing Senior Center) flower beds have been maintained by Master Gardeners of the Ozarks since 2013. A drip irrigation system was placed along the building perimeter at that time. Perennials are featured at the facility and also in the entry-way to the parking area. An annual/perennial garden is supported as well as flower vases on both sides of the building entry door.
The facility is being expanded and new garden beds and irrigation are planned as well as the design and construction of a walking trail behind the building.
Our committee is:
- Jim Enyart - Chair
- Sherry Enyart
- Colleen Walpert
- Rita Hsasly
- Nancy Mallamo
- E J Adams
Our goal is the planning and maintaining of the flower and décor beds at the senior center. The center is a public facility which attracts many people for meals, fellowship and community service.
We establish mutually acceptable days as we go, often to tie in with other projects.
