Plan on a fun day in our garden setting. If you choose, pack a lunch and spend the day. There will be lots of activities, information and handouts available.


10:00 AM - Missouri Department of Conservation will be on hand to provide information on our native Missouri trees and shrubs. MDC will provide 200 trees - elderberry and tulip poplar seedlings - to attendees free of charge. They will have information on how to plant and care for your trees and answer your questions.



Katherine Kufahl will speak on Container Gardening. She will focus on using a combination of perennials and annuals for a unique container for all seasons. 

12 noon

Bill Greet will discuss Bluebirds and will share his knowledge of tips for creating a Bluebird Trail.


Plant Sale 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
A variety of plants will be for sale. These include divisions from the Demonstration Garden and other plants provided by Master Gardeners and other donors. There will be a variety from vegetable garden transplants and herbs, to divisions of many of our perennials such as day lilies, iris and natives. Also, we will have a variety of unusual Colocasia/elephant ears.

We will be working and available for questions in our many garden projects. Visit with us and ask questions on how to use these ideas in your own home garden.

New this year is our "Children's Garden"

This features activities and plants for the children to take home.

Back again this year are our popular "Pollinator Boxes"

These plants are selected to benefit our butteflies and bees. They feature host and nectar plants and include a planting guide to get your started.
