Spring Workshop Attendance is usually at full capacity

The Master Gardeners of the Ozarks will be hosting their fifteenth annual Spring Gardening Workshop designed for homeowners looking for tips to improve their landscapes and gardening skills.

The workshop will be held with registration, vendor booths and a continental breakfast starting at 8:00 a.m. and the program ending at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 at the Faith Lutheran Church, located at 221 Malone Street in Branson, Mo.

“This program will feature qualified and informative speakers who will discuss the topics of developing the right size garden, composting tips, successfully growing microgreens and amazing plants for gardens.   This year we will also feature a speaker who will discuss yoga and gardening.” said Tim Schnakenberg, regional agronomy specialist, University of Missouri Extension.

“This program has grown in popularity and has become a Branson tradition for gardeners throughout the region,” according to Maggie Ann Shanks, master gardener who chairs the program. “Over 200 people attended last year’s event. Several vendors will be on site and will be set up to offer plants and horticulture-related merchandise to the public.”

A registration fee will be charged to cover the cost of the workshop and lunch. Contact the Stone County University of Missouri Extension Center at (417) 357-6812 for more information and to pre-register. Seating is limited so pre-register soon.
